Re: converter efficiency
Sounds a little loose, but no way would I only want 6-7%. In the quarter I'd shoot for around 10% without spray. Make sure you have all the right variables in your calculation. I'm guessing you're close and need a little work on the fin angle. Are you looking for consistency or all out speed?

I wasn't necessarily speaking of the condition but rather the setup.

Re: converter efficiency
Its a Art Carr billet 9 !/2" that I have never run... bought it off a friend and had vortex converter rebuild it lockup wouldn't when I install it so call vortex and he told me my trans was the problem try to tell them my spare converter worked find also a Art Carr 9 1/2" .... So I sent it to PTC they worked on it and said it was find still lockup sent it back to PTC they tried again but no lockup... been using my other Art Carr converter for a couple years lockup works fine we'll see what Freak show can dowhatbumper wrote:I wasn't necessarily speaking of the condition but rather the setup.

Re: converter efficiency
Would switching to Hytran or a similar hydraulic oil have any affect on converter efficiency?

Re: converter efficiency
he hasn't returned your calls because you didn't include your number in the box. Please call him today.
He has found the issue with the converter and it's fixed. wasn't an art carr converter though unless it was built by Mr art carr himself in california so I hope this is the one you were thinking of.
