Nice build Keith!
Any thoughts on why hp peaked at 6500?
I woulda expected it to peak around 7000.

I hadn't give it a lot of thought,..........BUT,... I'm actually glad it worked out like it did. This way I don't have to spin it to the moon to make the needed power. It'll be a lot easier on the valvetrain.
If I had to make a guess,.......the cam profile plays a major factor in it peaking where it did, as I told Lem when he spec'd it out, that I was planning on utilizing stock un-ported castings for the heads & intake.

I'm guessing it wants more airflow...
I excited to hear how it runs!

991.2 hp @ 6,300
991.9 hp @ 6,900
There is realy not a pronounced 'peak'.....looks flat to me.

I'm going to try to utilize my Ultimate Converter Concept 9" unit that I used on my previous 557 engine. I might have to have it adjusted to suit this set-up, but I want to try it first and get a baseline before I send it in.
Heck,.....If I'm lucky it might be good to go. Time will tell.

It's been 2+ years since I ran the truck, BUT,.... "IF" I remember right,...
It would flash to around 5500 on the T-Brake.

So are these the same heads you had on the old 557 that Seth originally built?
