1984 mustang cage questions Empty 1984 mustang cage questions

I am going to be putting about a 500 -550 hp 460 in the 1984 mustang with a set of frame connectors installed and welding up the torq boxes. I was wandering if I needed to install a cage in the car? If so will a 6 point be enough? It will see some drag racing with 10" slicks and 2,500 stall, but mainly just street driving on the weekend.

My 2c on the deal as explained one day to me..

The roll bar is an extension of the chassis.. A good cage will make a good car.

The safety aspect of it is just a Bonus!

I'd go 10 point as well!
