Cam Bearing Installation Question Empty Cam Bearing Installation Question

Post  dcon March 11th 2014, 2:23 pm

Hi Guys,
I'm installing cam bearings for the first time. I know I need to line the oil passage holes up. Here's my question. There is 1/4 oil groove with a hole on each end. Does it matter which hole you use on the bearing? Just wondering...
Thanks!

If looking directly toward the front of the engine, the groove should be at 4 to 6 o'clock.  Which direction the bearing gets installed does not matter as long as ONE oil hole lines-up on 2 thru 5; both should line-up on number 1.
