This is so sad. Harold and I had a few knock down drag out discussions on here, but when the dust settled, we would always shake hands and agree to disagree. He was a great man and will be dearly missed. Prayers to his family.

I first met harold at the u.s. 60 ford race a couple of years ago. Seems like i would always run in to him at a swap meet or drag race and we always shared a laugh or two. He will be missed for sure.

Harold was a great friend ,and a great guy. I wish I had just a fraction of his desire too race still. He was almost 72 yrs. and thats all he talked about. last labor day was the last time he had his car at the track(Ford Expo in Columbus) and he was on the podium w/win. The next day he was unloading the car just so his Grand daughter could ride his golf cart. The car got loose and rolled backwards and slammed into a huge light pole and destroyed the back half. It has been in the shop all this time getting a fresh Tbird body and paint. The car is all finished but the lexan windows. Harold could'nt wait too get it done so he could race some this year.
I'm gonna miss ya brother. Love ya man

Re: A SAD day today.
I'm shocked to hear that Harold passed. We have become friends over the last 20+ years, from back when he was just racing a 11 second pick-up with a 460. He always could make me laugh. I just saw him at Edgewater a little over a month ago, and all he talked about was getting his car done. He couldn't wait to get back to racing. Rest in peace Harold, we're gonna miss you.
