Re: A SAD day today.
Thank you Rick for calling me the other day to let me know about Harold. I met Harold at the 2007 Big Block Bash and again at the 2009 Big Block Bash. That last time he was like my guardian angel. On my trip from New Jersey, I went through 3 valve stems on my trailer tires, due to the valve stems dry rotted (trailer was 2 years old). When I pulled over at one of the rest areas along the way, my last tire was starting to get low, so I went to attempt to break the bead off the rim to slip in my last valve stem. I could not break the tire. It just so happens that Harold, Big Shank, and Postal Mike stopped in the rest area and my 66 Fairlane at the time, drew their attention over to me. After a few attempts of them driving to drive over the sidewall of the tire to break the bead, we couldn't do it. Harold took me to a tire shop at the next exit to get it fixed and brought me back to the rest area. I will never forget what he did for me. I parked next to him during the 2009 Bash when I finally got there and he's one of those guys that's an instant friend. I hope to meet you at the finish line Harold; Rest in Peace.

Re: A SAD day today.
Gotta leave here in the morning early to go take my dear friend to his final resting place. I'm sure going to miss him, had a lot of good times and laughs and made a lifetime of memories with Harold. Going to spend the weekend with Rick and Sooz Brown and try to figure out the rest of this great adventure with them....You young guys had better enjoy everything you can ,because it's gone in the blink of an eye! Old turds like me and Rick need to get all you can out of life while you can too!! I've lived hard and fast,I ain't been cheated or left out on much. Enjoy life to it's fullest, coz it can end in an instant! Do what you want while you can! I'm so glad I laid everything down last weekend and went and seen Harold before he passed....it would've been way too easy to have waited another week. I got to see him one last time God Bless all my Ford Brothers!!

Re: A SAD day today.
My name is Erik, Harold's son. I would like to thank all of you for your comments and prayers. Racing meant the world to him and I know he cared for all his racing buddies. For the ones who argued and bumped heads with him, I have been down that road many times. So god bless all of you and be safe...

One of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet My condolences to Harold's family.
Re: A SAD day today.
One really has no idea how much they care about someone until they are gone. Harold had a lot of friends and it showed by the size of the funeral.

That is for sure. My dad passed away this year and both the funeral home and the hall were wall to wall with people.

Just saw this and remembered the weekend you and I stayed at Harold's house. He fed us and entertained too............
He let me sleep in his son's bedroom and made Dan sleep in the Pink 4 Poster Princess bed with lace and all the little girl trimmings that go with it.
As far as all of you that are going to say pic's or it didn't happen................ Well he told me and Harold if it ever got out he would kill both of us...
It's a sight that can never be unseen. A freakin Princess with a Mullet. feet hanging off the end of the bed.
I sure miss Harold, unbelievably good guy. Think about him regularly.
