Rod and main bearing .

From your experience what brand of bearings do you guys use in or on cast steel crankshafts ? Thanks

King, is what I normally use, but if all is right I have have had good luck with clevite and several other brands.

So next question comes to mind ! What type of bearing to use h bearing p bearing ect ?

Mike, your H brgs are for a crank with a generous radius at the bearing surface edge. They will have a bevel on one side or the bearing will just be about .060 more narrow. the P is for a stock crank with little to no radius and full width. the material may be of a different formula too.

Hp loss with grooved or none grooved main bearings ?

X2,that and the RIGHT bearing for your crank/rods is more important than the brand.

mine has two different sets in it now and one main as a coated on one half and a uncoated on the other.
