Is there a need for a short timing set after a align hone on mains?
Do I need to shop for a short chain after honing the mains and touching the cam bore? Not a race deal but a stought truck.

Not normally but it depends on how much material was removed.

I've never had to after just a hone.
But it could be needed if you had some big time damage repaired

No repair, just block prep. Thanks for the answers, never knew they made them shorter until I started ordering parts.
