Ditto... spend the money and get the solid one for your engine bore. Beats them BAND POS 1000 times over. Wont break a ring, of fuck up your oil scraper package.

Yes,that shouldn't be a problem. I will never use anything else ever again. They are close to $50 but worth every cent imo.

Rick Brown approved...good enough for me . ARP for $78 on sale (Amazon I believe) for $61.05 (4.390). Anyone know where I can get one cheaper. Dumb, dumb question but my bore is 4.391, I assume the 4.390 compressor is the right one?!!

Terry,I have one for 4.390,you can borrow it. I have a assortment of them for a common BBF bores.I picked one up at the fall Swap 4.600 for $10.(ARP)
I haven't bought a new one for about 3 yrs.I think the last one I bought was just under $50.They must of took a huge jump in price.Still worth it imo.

Re: piston ring compressor
Just ordered the Akerly & Childs 4.390, $50 and some change. Didn't want to mess with the "free trial offer" B.S. so I had to pay full price plus shipping .
Hey Rick, good news...your ring compressor is still safe
