1996 f-250 speedo / ABS

My 1996 f-250 ABS light came on and the speedometer needle is jumping around. I checked all the fuses, would the sensor in the top of rear differential cause these problems ?

The first thing I would check is the VSS (sensor)on top of the rear axle. Sometimes they get trash on the sensor and give a bogus signal back to a module under the dash for your speedometer. Most of the time, cleaning or replacing the VSS will fix your problem. Hope this helps. ---RED
