Wish me luck
I am giving up my full time gig as a school principal to work at the shop full time in June. My brother, Josh, is the master fabricator and can build anything but he needs help selling parts and manning the phones. Hard to get anything done when he's on the phone 4-5 hours per day. We are expanding our line up to include pretty much everything race car related. I will be working towards the new store site soon. My wife is very nervous and apprehensive but I feel that God has put us in the position to serve him better by traveling to more races and speaking with more to spread the good word. I know a lot of you don't believe in the Almighty and I have intentionally not said a lot on here over the years but my time has come to step up and not be afraid of what people think and do what I am lead to do.
I know that was a rant most of you could do without but I feel it's fair to move ahead.
I will contact management, LOL, about moving forward with site sponsorship and look forward to doing business with all of you. My personal number is 903-870-8109 if you would like to speak race cars, parts, trucks, Christian needs, and/or all of them. Feel free to call or text.
Thank you
Justin Minzenmayer

Any person that can be involved in any way with today's school system and live through it can withstand dealing with the general public. You already have the business so go for it! Good luck!

Re: Wish me luck
You haven chosen a new road in life, I am not sure you need wishes or luck...Get in the drivers seat, and drive the road you have chosen comfortably and confidently. Like the advertising campaign from the shoes worn by many in the schools "Just Do It" and heck if you think it helps, best of wishes and good luck.

Hope to have the balls and what it takes to do this someday....I believe if you want it bad enough and are willing to work more than others, folks can make it!

Re: Wish me luck
I know it'll all work out but it sure is tough giving up a very good monthly paycheck.
The schools have been great to me. I don't really have parent issues or student issues in my school. I am not happy with the direction that schools have taken but that is out of my hands. I have a two and four year old at home and my current job does not allow me to spend time with them. At least running my own business they can come out whenever they want or I want. The business is three minutes from the house. (And they love going to the track which is why I had to get a new trailer for them to camp in because I am very cautious about the noise levels with them.)

Good luck, bud. I'm a little envious and happy for you at the same time.
You can always get back into education somehow if you needed to, I'm sure. Just keep up with all of your certifications, etc.

I plan on waiting until my 50's and go back for a few years for retirement purposes. My retirement is age plus years of service based so it's decent. No penalty for taking time off. I get more excited about this every day to be honest.
