Nick,
You should have bought my 2012 F-250 Lariet with 6.7L, fully loaded, 18,000 miles.
I sold it two weeks ago.
I would have given you a "special price"
Bruce

Lem is right, the 6.2 is a bad mofo...

How big of a load are you planning to pull ?
4.10's are the better gear to pull with.
My trailers weigh less than 8,000 lbs. so the 3.73's work fine for me.
I like the 17 plus mpg highway with mine.

My wife had an 2001 6.8L Excursion Limited (black) which she traded in for a 2005 6.8L Excursion Limited (black), which she traded in for a 2011 Raptor (black) with a 6.2L engine. She installed a K&N cold air intake, Magnaflow dual exhaust and a SCT tune. She absolutely loves the Raptor. On a freeway cruise at 80 it will average about 16 MPG. But that rarely happens. When the Raptor is in the garage, I have looked at the readout, and I have seen 6 MPG. Long story short, the 6.2L engine pulls hard through the gears, and in over 70,000 miles has not hiccuped. The mileage is reasonable for a 6200 pound plus truck. Both the 6.8L and the 6.2L engines have been durable and have been driven hard by most standards.

I'm loving this 6.2.
Took a road trip yesterday. Zeroed out the dash.
This was the highest I saw during the trip.
When I returned to my driveway after 92 miles it said 18.0 .
Should get around 17.2 actual.
I'm thinking it should run easily over 550 miles per tank full.

I hear they go thru a lot of plugs when the boost is turned up.I can smell a slight hint of anti-freeze when i walk in front of my truck every now and then.Maybe just a loose clamp somewhere might have to take it in if the smell gets worse.Other then that no problems for me but i only have a little over 22,000 miles.
