Block srew in plug positioning
I know this is a silly question but....
Since I did not remove some allen head plugs from the block, the machine shop did (and supplied new ones) I do not know which type of plug goes in which location.
I have two plug types 1) flat based (qty 3) and 2 that have pointed bases (qty 2).
Common sense says the two pointed based go in the front of the block near the lifter oil channels. If this is the case is there a depth that should be watched?
The other three flat based I (again I need confirmation)- two in the water holes at the back of the block and the third capping off the oil channel that comes across to oil the front of the cam shaft (front of engine).
Can someone help confirm my thoughts or correct me?

Re: Block srew in plug positioning
The two beveled ones go in the front, two the same size goes in the back of the block, there should be two on top in the lifter galley, and one on each side of the block, for water drain, thats the way mine is.

Thanks, pretty well confirms what I thought.
The only remaining questions is the opening on one end of the horizonal channel that runs across just behind the cam retainer area. This is a threaded hole there as well.
