90 model overdrive
How much trouble is it to put a 90 model overdrive with push button overdrive behind my 351w carb in my 69 f100 I never tried to put a electric trans behind a none ecm ride.

The reason I don't contemplate it is the 5-600 dollar controllers. Sometimes a 700 makes sense on low HP deals I hate to say.

PS: Another reason my 1995 F150 likely will never get carbed either.

The 69 will not get a 700 in it I might just covert the whole truck over to fuel injection with the overdrive. I have a 90 model f150 with the 5.8 with the trans I bought real cheap.

I use a 4r70w trans behind my 393. I use TransGo's manual shit kit. Runs about $200. OD and converter lock-up I have run to a switch. Works good, biggest drawback for me is remembering to switch off the OD.

Woops:D . That would be a manual "shift" kit.

Re: 90 model overdrive
I bought a regular AOD with a transgo shift kit already in it ready to bolt in from my buddy for less than I could put the E40D in it out of the 90 f150 I'll save the drive train for something else later down the road.
