Back in the day distributor mod?
Here is a distributor I got in a box of misc. parts and I noticed the lower shaft had 4 welds on it.
Very interesting.
Any have any comments?
Is this a good idea?

Looks like someone ruined a distributor.

yep I agree Lee. I remember welding spider gears street racing. No money at all back then,not much more now.lol

Looks like it was welded so that the roll pins will not shear. Perhaps someone was having a problem with shearing the rollpins and this was their "fix"
