Head gaskets for 429 - which way go on?

Building a 429 and got Victor Reinz head gaskets.  They have a white coating.

How do I tell which way they go on?  They seem semitrical.

Also the gasket has a white tacky coating.  I assume that no coating is required.

They are not symmetrical.

Square lower corner toward the front.
