Distributor

I'm needing a distributor for for a truck that was formally fuel injection. I'd like to use a ready-to-run or plug and play type. I'm considering a pertronix flame thrower with ignitor 3 module, mainly because it says made in the US and is a decent amount cheaper than the msd unit. This will be for a cruise around truck with a fairly healthy PI headed 460. Should I be looking elsewhere? Is the pertronix a decent unit? Is the msd worth the 125 more?

I have had nothing but trouble with every Pertronix III ignition I have tried to use. They work great for a while ... then not so good, though it still will start.
The Prtroniix II works well though.
