What!!??...no way!!
Bob Glidden was certainly one of my idols as a youngster!! I remember watching the 1978 Finals on ABC's 'Wide World of Sports" and Gliddens Fairmont streaking out a win over Bill Jenkins Chevy Monza driven by Mr. Lombardo.

And all the Glidden victories that came in the following years just kept adding to the Legend.
Mr. Glidden is a lot of the reason why I am not only a Ford fan, but a 351C fan and big block 429/460 fan in particular!!

The man worked harder at his craft than anyone I have ever witnessed. So sad to hear this.

Truly sad to hear, another great innovator of the sport, and a Blue Oval Hero lost.

I miss the days when ProStock racers were allowed to innovate the way Bob did. Race In Peace, Bob.

always amazed that he survives a bad crash rolling over to then put his jacket over the engine so the tv camera's couldnt get any shots of his intake or engine .
always wished i was around back when the sport was booming when he was racing
