Pump Gas 521 with power range of 3000-5500
From Chris Nowack:
A friend and a customer of mine requested some help selecting a mild street cam and roller lifters for his 521 BBF pump gas build with untouched P51 heads and 850 Carb. He wanted to start building torque at 3000 and not rev any more than 5500. He wanted good vacuum for brakes and heater controls and of course boil the tires as long as he had his foot on the pedal. Well I had Chris Straub work his magic on a cam for us. We just got to tune it on the dyno and the results absolutely blew expectations out of the water. The icing on the cake was the fuel economy. We warmed it up, broke it in, and made 11 dyno pulls and used less than 5 gallons of fuel total. Thanks Chris Straub for your help and expertise.
RPM HP TQ
3000 300 510
4500 675#/ft Peak
5600 651 Peak
I missed peak by 100 rpm.

Shure looks like blatant advertising to me ...?
I think simply posting the engine particulars would suffice and forget about the rest.

It doesn't really bother way me one way or the other but, I was simply pointing out how it appeared.
I know how it is with customers and their dyno runs ... they all seem to think they have some kind of magic bullet that others just couldn't wait to try and duplicate.
In actuality, what I have found, is that the engine build within someone else' mind is always much better than what has already been tested and accomplished.
More info
Wondering if you could tell me what intake this engine is using? I have the same size cubic inches, heads and performance goals. Looking for a cam, so this post has me very interested, but knowing the intake brand & type would be helpful. The information can be PMd to me if needed.
Thanks in advance!

Chris certainly has no problem dislocating his shoulder to pat himself on the back.
