SCJ Head Rocker Boss
Is it common on the SCH heads to have to grind down the rocker stud boss in order to get a socket on a head stud nut for cyl # 4 or 5? Even with a thin wall socket there isnt enough room. It's not currently hitting the pushrod guide plate but it may if i clearance the stud boss. FYI the studs are ARP with a 7/8 nut.

I guess that's one option. I never had an issue with the previous Dove heads but it's apples and oranges.

Not an issue when you use 12 point nuts.
EDIT: I should have read the whole thread before answering.

I bought the arp 155-3603. Wonder if I will run into the same issue

Not likely. That ARP bolt kit has a 5/8" hex.
