cam dowel

I just got in my new solid roller camshaft drilled with 2 pins and 7/16 bolt..
I am going to run the one piece fuel pump eccentric so I need one of the dowels to be longer.
Does anyone know how long it needs to be to reach the eccentric and where I can order one?

You don't need a dowel for the OEM mechanical fuel pump eccentric...

what holds it from spinning?
The two piece OE eccentric has a tab on it. But I'm using the once piece ford racing one , what do I use so it doesn't spin?

A fuel pump eccentric for a big block Ford does not have a hole for any dowel pin.
It relies simply on bolt torque to keep it in place and only has a 3/8" hole.

I know the people on here that answer my questions are very smart. Also have helped me a 100 times....

I just recieved a custom ground camshaft. I had it upgraded to double pin and a 7/16 bolt hole. I already have the arp bolt. and tested it.
i ordered this fuel pump eccentric. M-6287-C302...

there is 2 holes in it. i assumed one was for the bolt and the other was for the pin to go threw.

If it just gets bolted that fine too.

I will check the offset next to the oe bbf one once it come in to see if it will work because its listed for a small block.
