When I went thru this with my A head /Jesel setup 10 years ago..I didn't think of it as a hassle.. I just figured it was part of building a race engine...Wasn't a big deal...
Sometimes you have to be smarter then the parts you are working on..

I agree, the whole problem I have is I ordered rockers for TFS heads (in 2003) and I'm just now putting them together, turns out the ones I have are for the Motorsports heads. Not a problem, I'll get it squared away just like every other problem I've come across, I just wanted to ask around before I sold the ones I have and spent a bunch of money on something that needed as many mods. also there is no way in the world I would use an indidual rocker set up with girdles over shaft mounts with a cam with over .750 lift, probably not even over .650, but that may just be me. Everything is taken care of and the "correct" shaft rockers will be on before next weekend.

how about when you get a fox body manual steering rack for use with 95 spindles you should order it for the sn95 instead. then you will get it with the longer tie rod ends, otherwise you throw the shorter ones out and buy them as a part.
,,,,also when you order d and d shorty headers they dont come form penn, they com from california, go figure.
....also when you install a kmember kit dont forget to save the old bolts from the original arms you are gonna need them.
....finally as other have said watch the flexplate /torque converter/pilot knob fit. i have a 600 dollar transpecialities verter that only fits the shop floor> sure doesnt fit the freaking crank hole. bobn

First time I built up a 302, bought procomp heads, BIG mistake, sent them back after my cylinder head guy told me what it would cost to make them work properly....
Bought a set of World heads, also junk with screwed up geometry and chevy sized valves, dumped those and bought TF heads,
what a difference!
Would have saved money and a ton of aggravation had I ponied up for the good stuff, the first time.

The kid only told the last part of the Jessel story. Three (3) times they sent the rong setup. We finally had to send them a head for them to get it right.

It shouldn't be that way, but sometimes that's the best way to do it. I remember having to do that many years ago with Wiseco to get a set of A head pistons right. And they still needed massaging when we finally got them!

Speed pro and TRW dome pistons only have a valve releif big enough for the stock size valves.

My friend said that you shouldn't use a summit brand fuel cell because once you start up your engine, the top of it dents in and stays like that. But if you don't care how it looks it should be fine.

1. Jesel shaft rockers are not a bolt on deal. You have to cut ur head studs flush to the nut. You also have to mill part of the rocker arm stand that hangs over the said stud.
2.The supplemental stud kit you buy for the 18 bolt head deal. You should get the kit with the 6pt nut and bolts. If you get the 12pt you will have to track down a very expensive 12pt crows foot or a some what expensive torque adapter.
3. when you buy a replacement shaft for ur MSD dizzy it will come un drilled, you have to drill ur own holes for the collar and gear.
I'll post more as I think of them.
Do you have any pics of your rockers after installation and what part number are you using, mine need some "field modifications" too, I'm using #KCS(now KPS)-19187.
Thanks
Here are the pics you asked for below. I looked today and yes the exhaust stands are different from the intake. The intake shaft is 2.15 and the exhaust shaft is 2.00 inches. The part# for my exhaust stands is stn-20321 and the intake stand part# is stn-20320. Hope this helps
pic of shafts installed on #1 cylinder
pic of stand
pic of head stud cut down to the nut
pic of stand where I cut off the end that goes over head stud
Looks like my stuff.
