Hobbs Hit The Wall....

Chuck just called and said that Hobb's put Tweety into the wall. Said something about pain in his shoulder and ribs. The passenger side is pretty bad but he already said he's going to try and get it fixed before the Hot Rod Reunion.

Hobbs and Randy Moore (And Company) are at Gleason for the Dixie Door Slammers...

That's all I know as of now, will keep you guys posted if/when I get more information...

Snake Jelly I told Dan not to get to wild till he got the chassis figured out I hope he is ok...

Holy shit!!! I hope he and the bird are okay!

Dan just called me and sent pics,said that it eased towards the centerline and hit a slick spot and headed back across the lane headon towards the wall. Said he jerked it back and it hit the front corner then slammed the back quarter pretty hard. He was still watching the races. Did'nt mention getting hurt. But thats just Dan,he don't complain. He will have The bird back good as new.Glad he's ok.

I talked to him after the wreck, he said it bicycled and almost went over.......... Then he said when it hit the wall the car got real close to the top of it. It ground through the passenger side door and bent both rims plus wrinkled the interior sheet metal

Dan said he was sore and his wrist hurt.

Dang ole Coon is too fast for me.................

Sorry to hear this. Glad Dan is OK. X2 on getting checked - just in case. The car should be easy enough to fix, a dab or two of rubbing compound.......

Aw Hell what a thing to wake up to first thing in the morning ! Glad to hear Dan is OK first of all..and Tweety can always be fixed..the main thing is Dan's ok... I think Tweety would have looked worse had she been of sheet metal !

I am glad to hear you are alright.

First glad you were not hurt seriously. Like many others have said, Dan is a racer at heart and will have the car fixed back up in no time.

If I have anything that you need let me know, I am sure there are enough good hearted folks here to give you a hand at getting the car back together.

Just got home after driving all night..I'm going to bed and will get started tearing the car apart in a little while. It took a hell of a lick!! Just feel lucky to be able to still drive it in the trailer. I'm a little sore,but not as bad as I figured I'd be. Thanks for everything guys, it means alot to have friends when this shit happens.It's got to have a rear wheel ,the whole passenger side gotta be fixed ,front and back end ..Wheelie bars are bent, fuel pump is leaking, and alot of sheet metal work....plus any unseen stuff.....almost saved it ,just got too far down track when it swapped ends. It hit the wall at about 340 feet.It's just been a shit year all around....it'll get better
