Well made my first pass ever down a track tonight stalled to about 1500 rpm took off and it scared the crap out of me shifted to 2nd and let out still ran 7.8 in the 1/8 so when I learn how to drive this thing it should b in the high 6's I went to make my 2nd pass and my shifter cable broke then my fuel pump quit so now I got some more work to do

I never got a chance to video it I was in such a hurry just trying to get ready to go to the track never even thought about videoing it lol

I hate that you had problems on your first night out. Have you got the car back to the shop to check out the shifter or engine running lean to not starting?

I'm going to the shop today after church but I did find out that it's not getting any fuel no fuel pressure and none in the bowls

Got all my problems worked took her back to the track tonight still can't get it to hook off the line and getting some tire shake having to let out then go. It went 1.88 60' 7.4 at 94 mph in the 1/8 I'm still trying to figure out how to do a burnout and the track was cold hopeing for 6's soon!

Maybe the track was to cold that's why your 60 ft. times were so bad.A 7.40 1/8 mile time is good for at least 11.50's in the 1/4 mile.

yeah it was really cold and I gotta learn how to do a burnout as soon as I touched the gas it would break loose a tire shake real bad I would let off then go and I was shifting at 5,000

You need these on your rear end setup. They will help get rid of your wheel hop.

It hooked a Lil better tonight it went 1.6 60' 7.01 at 98 mph it's still got some in it hopeing for 6's next Friday !

Well It was running good almost to the 6's then my cam pin Broke now I got the engine out trying to figure out why it broke so it won't do it again Hopefully no valves are bent it was idleing when it broke

ps I'm probably going whith a bigger cam should b easy 6's !!!

Finally got it back together went with the c460 cam 3rd pass ran a 6.97 at 98 and still just leaving easy off idle im still playing with the susp. gonna shave a few more tenths off when she hooks

a unit like this will get into the tens quite easily....I drove a friends '91 w/ a mild 460 @ 6.28 in the 1/8th....keep at it...I put the ol' RatPoison Galaxie @ 155 in 8.71 @ Famoso...what a ride !!

It has probably been mentioned already but isn't that carb TINY for this application? I though you had o almost double your fuel supply when switching to E85? Heck, most small block people runnign E85 around here are running a 950-1050 carb.
