Chasis mods for my 73 coupe???
I was wondering if anyone could help me out on any info on getting my car to hook up better while keeping it a street strip car.
I have subframe conectors installed 5 leaf springs and adjustable gas shocks out back with a mini tubbed rear.
Anyone have traction bars they recomend?
Dont shoot me for this but what are cal trac's?
Micky tompson ET street radials any good??
thanks for any help! appreciate it!

Your only real option for leaf springs is Cal-Tracs (or maybe the Slide-a-Links from Competition Engineering) They make your leaf spring setup act more like a 4-link and are on the majority of fast leaf spring cars in the country. Most people have very good luck with them and are very consistent. Do a google search and you'll come up with tons of links.

MT Drag Radials are supposed to be very good.

I have a 73 boss clone that has his springs and cal-tracs. I'm thinking on doing it to my 66 coupe with a mini tube deal as well and a big block

That's exactly what I'm doing to my 65 Falcon... using the Crites relocation leaf kit and a Rod and Custom MII front end.

odd, it still works for me. He quoted me $310 for some Caltracs and you'd probably have similar savings on the rest of the stuff, that's around 10-15%. anyhow, below is what it said in the link.

I know it might cost a few bucks, but a simple 6 point roll bar will add some stiffness. Might as well put that power to the ground instead of allowing it to twist the body.
Tie the bar into the frame connectors and you'll be money ahead...
I had a friend with a Mustang like yours with a 460 in it. It also had frame connectors, new springs and some homeade slapper bars. It worked really good but it had some body twist from not having a bar or cage in it.

Don't kill me for posting a chevy but....
This is a Cal-Trac car. The times in the video are real. He does NOT have traction issues with his BBC and a single plate.
