I quit almost 2 years ago. Never used a patch or gum, I just cheated when I couldn't stand it. Last cheat was March 17th last year. I don't miss it at all, and I feel sorry for the poor slobs huddling outside in -30 smoking. I will never smoke again.

I can't sympathize with some one trying to quit as I never started, but it sucked to watch it kill my Step Father, 3-4 packs of Pall Mall's a day Since he was 13 or 14......... he passed away at 54......

Smoked when I was 21 for a year.Quit cold turkey.Smoked again when I was 35 for a year, quit cold turkey. My girlfriend Wendy is smokefree 10 months now.My mom smoked PallMalls 2-3 packs a day for 65 years. She now has emphysema so bad she can not stand and take 4 steps without being completly out of breath and gasping. It breaks my heart to see her in this condition, but she just wouldn't put themdown. Its great to see all of you stopping smoking. My Pop died 6 years ago from lung cancer.I just don't want any of our BBF brothers going away from here.Hang in there buddy!!!!!!

You can do it! Keep your head in the game. Try to race it out of your system or think about how you wont be able to race or work out in the shop because of how weak you will get. my grandpa used to lift jet plane turbines up and move them around the yard, now he can't walk from the car to the house without loosing his breath. He can bearly even eat because he looses his breath when he does that. Sad
