oil filter subsitute ?
i need to replace my oil filter today but cant my hands on a Jomar ...which one would you guys suggest ?

nick napa here carries all wix filter you may try your local napa dealer

WIX all the way, you can even use an "R" filter if you like, but it might not be legal...................

napa filters are made by wix also
i have used the spin flow filters and the gold

I like to use the 2 quart version if possible. Hastings LF426 is the one for a Ford.

The longer style filter still has the built in bypass like the regular Ford filter. It just has a larger can and a longer filter element so it's much less likely to go to bypass on a cold start.

so i told the napa guy that this was the wrong filter ...... he brought me another one for free its a wix racing part # 51515r ...... he said that is the cross for the motorcraft one ...is he correct Lem ?

Sorry Nick, I do not have the Wix reference matterial. I'm sure the Wix will the okay. I used to cut my oil filter open every other outing. Didn't take long to pay for the System1. I guess it depends on how much information you're gathering.
