Don't have to worry about him, he can't get a car to go down the track.
your so funny - one time out of 62 - if you want some just call me out peter

maverick wrote:Back to the original question........I use a skuzzy old Dedenbear SCO1. Nothing fancy. Reliable as an anvil. Allows 3 hits on the tree if you're so inclined (I am not). My favorite use of the box is crossing over and leaving off the slower guy's top bulb. Had lots of success that way.
Dont have to use their bulb here, all our tracks use crosstalk.
Re: Delay box for bracket racing
I guess that might be true sometimes. On the other hand around here you see a lot of guys double tech their cars in both box & no-E classes on the same day with success. So obviously some guys have to have the box, and some box guys can work both with and without the delay box like clock work.badnotch wrote:kinda funny the ones that do use them wont race without them ~~~
Speaking of the cross over box, what about the bad old days before cross over's where invented when you had to keep a calculator in the car to quickly figure both dials to leave off a slower guy's tree?

I bet there were guys back then who claimed that using a calculator was cheating.

Re: Delay box for bracket racing
I use a Bondio but want a K&R, for bump down & bump up feature on two diff switches. I run No-Box (box velcroed in with trailer plug) also with good results, I found you have to find your place on the tree and adjust the car to leave and cut a light in No Box. Never try to adj yourself, you will never as consistant as the car. I shoot for a .01 to.02 light off the bottom if I got a tough race I may bump in just a hair more to go .00 but with that the ET may change may have to drive the big end more than normal, with the box I shoot for .002/.007 try to keep a .005 spread. I do use a practice tree which is hooked to the car electronics which I try to keep a .005 spread also. I prefer Box class I don't know why I guess there is more $$$$$$$$$$$ in it

So, I guess what you're saying, Randy, is that the P*****S get to stay and race into the later rounds?

Yep 10-4
I tried it and tried it without a delay box and after a few times I said time to get a delay box, and run with them.....
