spark plugs
What spark plug is best to use with the dove head, I put the 5/8th adapter in them so I would have a better selection, I searched, found everything, but what I need to know.

That is what I'm trying to figure which ones to buy, they have to be the ones with the gasket, but I don't know which ones, I don't know if alcohol takes a different plug than gas, need some guru help.

Re: spark plugs
I am at work right now but when I get home I will check which ones. I have a pretty good idea but I will let you know.
You said alcohol, gasket type.
What compression? Motor only or spray? What ignition?
Sorry for all the questions but it really helps to know for the recommendation.

Re: spark plugs
Harold i have a couple different numbers here .I run 3924 autolite (just what we always stocked for years)
The middle number in the end is heat range 5 is middle and higher the hotter lower colder .I did try a couple
different numbers all about the same. but the hat sure hacks alky in anyway.

Re: spark plugs
I know I ask a lot of questions but with the adapter do you run the same reach plug or is it different than stock. If I remember right the factory reach was .460 reach. The adapter is a 18mm tapered to a 14mm gasket type I am assuming?

Re: spark plugs
I suppose that is right, but the reach, I might better call Garrett and ask him, he don't send any info with them, just puts them in a plastic baggie, and boxes them up, and mails them, I thought some of these guys were using them, and would pass the info on to me.

Re: spark plugs
I bought these adapters, so I could have a wider choice of plug, wonder which one would cross reference with the ar33?

Re: spark plugs
Harold, The AR33 is definately a better choice over any of the older(bigger) plug. It is a side gap plug which will give u alot better burn. imo.

AR#3933 for a domed piston or AR#3911 with an extended tip for a flat-top piston.

Re: spark plugs
All you need is Champion spark plugs. You don't need to get fancy, and don't buy the E3 Diamond-fire plugs. You have to run the high octane pump gas all the time for them to work. They're apparently crap, my brothers friend put them in is truck, had to buy different ones. One type that I liked was Split Fire, they worked just fine and will probably put them in my 466.
