Piston Help Pease!!!!!
How ya'll fellas doing? I have a 429 D1ve block that I had punched out .060 over. This all happened when I was 18yrs old. I'm now 33yrs. My project got put on hold due to a run of bad luck I know a lil' bit more now and have a lil' more $ not much The engine has never been ran, just setting on the stand Can I mircro the cheap cast pistons I have and purchase a set of better flat top pistons?

IMHO, your best bet would be switching to a 460 crank while using the rods you have. That way you'll have a much better selection of pistons to choose from.

I agree with Chuck, the 460 crank gives you a lot more options in regards to piston selection. Plus they are affordable and available.(At least they are around here)!

Most parts stores can get reman cranks for a couple hundred bucks or so. Get with Adney Brown, he's probably got a hundred of them ready to go.

Thanks alot fellas, never thought of that. I didn't want to put any big HP parts in it until I got the cast pistons out. I think they might be TRW not sure. I was just out of High School and at the mercy of a machinist who is no longer in business because of shady deals. I clearly see that there is a wealth of knowledge here and am glad I found this site...
