Went to test & tune yesterday

Only got to make 2 passes, I got there a little late and the place was packed. The car ran great, and it should have more in it with a few adjustments.

I owe Rick (bbf-falcon) a HUGE thanks for puting this beast together for me. He came out to tweak on the carb, but it took so long waiting in the staging lanes he had to leave just before I made the first pass.

Not bad for right off the trailer pass. All I will say is its a 466 w/flat tops. 69 Mach1. Mike can give out the combo if he would like. It's his car. Wish we could have stayed to tune a little Mike. I think it's got a 9.80 in it.

Harold, the tranny shifted fine. Sorry I didnt let you know I was going. I didn't use the trans break cause I wanted to ease in to the car and make sure everything worked as it should. The breaks went soft on me when I staged up for the second pass, and I forgot to put it back in first after the burnout. Still ran a 10.222 @132.72. Looks like the rear wheel cylinders crapped out. That was a little exciting at the other end of the track.

Good job i wish my junk 466 would run 10.20's maybe one of these days.I haven't got in the high 10's yet but i've only had the car to the track 2 times in 6 years.Rick did i meet goinpostal at Norwalk i think i did but can't remember,Later Mark.

Its just a 466 with flat tops, victor intake, 1150 dominator, P51 heads, and one of those Lem Special cams.

I thought i met him wasn't sure though,my big problem is traction but i don't want to cut my car up.Plus when i've had my car to the track the track wasn't the greatest either,Later Mark.

What tire do you have? A friend of mine runs used (Soft) dirt track tires on the street and track. They hook up better than a street tire,and you can pick them up real cheap.

My car has Mickey Thompson 28X11.5X15" ET Street Tires on it.They're pretty old but still have a lot of rubber on them yet.I think the big thing is just getting to the track when the track is actually good.My best 60 ft. with these tires has been a 1.66,Later Mark.
