I'll let him give all the details later...... Rick and Lil Tweety had a bad day. Spit the pinion out just past the starting line. It literally bounced off the track. Took the rear half of the driveshaft with it.
Rick....Hang in there. We've all been there.
Re: We made it to Windy
The carnage occurred to my friend and customer, Melvin Kennedy out of the Chicago area. He broke a rod and knocked a hole in his pan and his block. The dang transmission was giving him fits, not shifting and etc.,,,, and he's had it in and out of the car twice in the last 10 days. It was an over-rev deal.
Also, Rick Brown broke a rear end in Tweety-bird, just off the starting line. Hitting it with too much power I guess.
Then Ken Herbert broke a rear end yoke in the lights, but the carnage was not that major. It was one of those billet block "captured" style u-joint deals. His car is a 4 speed Jerico I think.

Sounds like Rick might have to re-learn how to drive LiL Tweety after making some more Hp and Tq changes this year during the down time.. Charlie talkin about Kens car and the U-Joints...are those the caged "girdled" if you will 1350 joints ? Or something different..
