Lem,
Is that a picture of a production model? Or is that the prototype all painted up to look pretty? Does the production model look like that with the smooth radiuses on the carb pad and intake runners?

John that is the production picture....... so if you buy onw it will look just like that one.....
the only thing they could improve on that manifold is if they put the Small block water neck on it.... for distributor clearances....

Re: TFS PRE-Production, aka Mafia manifold
Thanks Randy and Lem. I'll be using my Victor for now. I'll upgrade to the TFS piece when I get the heads ported.

Re: TFS PRE-Production, aka Mafia manifold
Roger at Kaase's called yesterday about an unrelated matter.........seems 'they' dynoed an engine with the "Hillbilly" manifold......just like we saw here in Ky. they saw a 15-20 additional HP. Just like was observed on KY Jelly's 562" deal . Congrats to Charlie and the crew
Re: TFS PRE-Production, aka Mafia manifold
Thanks Lem! Having it independently verified by Kaase's shop is very good news. If memory serves me correctly it was worth 17 Hp on KY Jelly's 562 engine verses a very well ported Victor, and besides that, it also raised the rpm at which peak Hp occurred. You may refer to it as the "Hillbilly" manifold, but even the guys at TFS who are casting it are calling it by Fabio's nickname the "Mafia" manifold.
Guys if you want one, please do as has already been said and e-mail Lem at; lem.evans@bfevansford.com
and make sure to put your phone # in your e-mail.

Ok gentlemen. We've heard what this manifold will do on the more radical combinations like KY's. Have you done any testing on mild combos like mine? (512" stock P-51's). Did Roger at Kaase's say what motor they tested it on?

According to what Lem heard from Roger, it was a pump gas engine that they were trying to make 850 Hp with and it didn't do it until they switched manifolds to the new TFS Mafia piece.
I agree that it's not going to give a mild engine a magical 15-20 Hp. However, it should still help a mild engine with good breathing heads like your P-51s.

Thanks Charlie. It would be interesting to try it on something like my combo. My victor still has out of the box ports so it would be a good comparison. I'll start saving my pennies.
