Check this out...... TRUE STORY....
OK, check this out. You guys know I'm trying to put on a race in Sept. right? So. I call this guy from another track, because they own a semi-local restaraunt and I wanted to see if they could sponsor my race to help get another track started. Well, this guy proceeds to rip me a new one the Helena guys/gals don't support ANY of the other tracks in the state, YADA YADA YADA. I told him that I found that rather interesting because I actually have alot of video of my truck at both of the other tracks. Well, he proceeds to tell me that it's a conflict of interest and such because he helps run the one 1/4 mile track I run at. Basically, he finished up with how the Helena racers don't do this and that, and so forth, so we ended the conversation. Throughout the night last night, I'm thinking what a scumbag this guy is for the way he treated me on the phone, and I saw in the paper this morning that his restaraunt burned down last night.
I saw that and thought, HMMM! Maybe he should've been a little nicer on the phone last night
I'm glad nobody got hurt and such, but you know what they say about KARMA?

I also know it's wrong to take pleasure in other people's misfortune.
The emotion of pleasure-in-others’-misfortune is generally regarded as morally evil. It is often considered to be less acceptable than envy, which is regarded as a deadly sin.

I take no delight in it, I just found it rather interesting. The laughing smiley's don't mean I think it's hilarious. Just that I thought it was funny, as in peculiar.
I might also add, that maybe it's not me who has the evil heart. You ever think Carl, that maybe it was this guy that has the evil heart. I'm the one that called on him and his organization to help start another track/event here in Montana. He is the one that was cursing me for stepping on the toes of other tracks, and not contributing or supporting them. When in fact, it's just the opposite. He was the one that said all of the spiteful things about myself and the other local racers. I look at it like this. I take absolutely NO pleasure in ANYONE'S misfortune. In fact, I'm glad nobody was there, and sincerely hope they're able to get it back up and running soon, as the restaraunt is part of that town's history. I look at it as my God stepping up to the plate on my behalf to make it known that HE is looking out for me, and that the other guy is wrong in what he did. All I did was contact him looking for help.
I posted the story because I found it rather interesting that he treated me, a "fairly" soft spoken Christian, like I was none other than plain 'ol gutter rubbish. And then in less than a day, his establishment is burned down. No sir. I am just the opposite. And I thank you for posting a link to someone that looks to be just another know it all, because he thinks he knows more about others than they do themselves. He probably works for Snopes from the sound of it. Because he said it is so, then it must be so.
I am going to end this here as it will probably get locked 'cause I mentioned God in a post. But I stand by my convictions.
Good day,
Doug...

Some people just have to have a negative attitude, and it sounds like the Good Lord gave that guy an attitude adjustment so to speak. Glad no one was hurt in the fire and I too hope the guy gets his business up and going again. Did this guy not know that you attend his track and support it? If not, it would do well for this guy to realize that to speak harshly to any racer will not help his attendance at his own events. I have been treated in many ways at several venues and it's always funny how I try to go back to the ones that are friendly and run a good clean show.

Had a farmer with a 7.3 superduty pull some crap like that, in the end we didnt say anything about his airbox he broke dusting the motor, long story short he dropped us in the grease when we "helped him out" by keeping our findings to ourself.
After he f-cked us he had a local shop replace his broken motor....in the process the shop burnt.............his truck was a total loss............f-ckin piece of shit.
And since that day we wont do any "favors" anymore..............its all owed to that turd and his torched truck.
Shop had no insurance........lol.

Well Doug I also believe in Karma....What comes around goes around...I treat people as I like to be treated...I use to be one that would have a quick fuse when confronted...Now days that I'am older..Its just builds up...and when I flash ! Look the F&^K out....because I carry the pissed off Mode for years...and still have people looking over there shoulder for shit that happened years ago...
So I dont feel bad about his place burning down at all...If he was a half way decent guy..I think your community would help him rebuild as they do around here where I live..and if there an Ass...Your on your own and without !! Just thank the Gods of Fire !!
