I have, spent a bunch of time with both of these guys, and I would call both of them good friends of mine.(hope they say the same about me)

I let Jon drive my car until he got tired at one of the BBF bash, And I would let Rick do the same thing. Hell Rick let Red drive his Tweety and never met him before...............



It just amazes me how people can get off on the wrong foot with each other over nothing. It kills me to have two of my good friends cross at each other..............

I personally expected to see a lot more rpm out of this build , was this lower rpm "pre" planned in the build or do you think its the result of something else ?

I was at a conference this summer in OKC.. I took a drive down to Thunder Valley on a Friday night to check out Jon's car & some racin'

Let me tell you Rick, Jon is 100% spot-on. I'm just a little guy here amongst you big-power guys, and in the few minutes I spent talking to Jon I knew he was pretty cool. Even shook his hand. I was stoked to get to talk to someone whose done what he has... he's far from the arrogant pricks like the chebby orientation who won't give you the time of day.

The issues I have w/Jon has not one thing to do w/his racing or engine building skills.As a matter of fact his accomplishments w/the engine that he's assembled has made great #'s and I say Congrats to him.My problem w/him is his gigantic EGO and smartass mouth. He wants people to fall down at his feet and bow at his presence. I like people that are real. Go back thru some of his over 4000 posts and count the questions he has ever ask someone.You will be hard pressed to find any,because he thinks he knows it all and his ego is too big . Maybe he is a great guy in person,but some of the shit he say's behind the keyboard sure as hell doesn't make him the kind of person I would call my hero.

Rick, slow down. This is the internet, not actual/whole inter-personal relations. You're basing your judgements on what is typed on a forum. You, I, and everyone else aren't seeing the whole picture.

I've been around since Jon was a regular poster on the other forum, and I've seen plenty of what he and others have "said". Bow at his feet? Hardly. Questions? Just because they aren't typed doesn't mean they aren't presented. The stuff in this forum isn't what makes us who we are, so don't take it as such. I'm sure you're way more than the impression I've gotten of you.

I think both of you guys are what I call "our heavy weights" I hope you two can find a way to fix this. It only breaks down all of us. Both of you guys have helped me, I can call Jon on the phone with some of the craziest sh** and he will answer ALL of my questions no matter how simple they might be to him.

I have never spoke to Rick on the phone but I have no doubt he would do the same for me in a heart beat!!

Jon really is a good guy, Helped me out a ton ! built my fuel cell for me for next to nothin. As far as know every thing probably not but, he does have quiet a bit of skill way more then me. I'd say him and Blake are my go to guys for questions, and not bad mentors, even if I am older then Jon. I guess a person cant make everyone happy But I know these too guys sure help me out without much in retrun.

IMO,both you and Jon are good guys i've talked to you many times at the track and you kept me dry in your trailer at Norwalk once remember that day. .Now i haven't met Jon in person but have sent a pm to him about a Diesel question for my buddy.He was very nice and answered my question and was spot on what the problem was.I was right also but my buddy wanted a second opinion before he spent his hard earned money.

Its all cool guy's,just because me and Jon don't see eye to eye doesn't mean I don't want all of our mutual friends to feel the same. I know that Blake and Jon are friends,as me and Blake are, but that has nothing to do w/our squabbles. Its all good,so carry on as usual

We are all working toward the same thing folks!! Knocking the Rat off its perch, we are fighting a lot of anti Ford/pro Chevy "facts" out there. We sure don't need to be fighting each other too!!

There are several very smart folks who don't post many questions but help out many of us. I know I have been helped by so many of you guys!! This doesn't mean they are "know it all's" but they do know quite a bit!!
