Well she is ready to rock, leaky v.c. gasket all taken care of with the new Cometics, Red Alert EGT datalogger on and working properly, new belts in................will get the trailer organized this week and weather pending will go testing next Sunday..............damn I can't wait.... It's been too long lol.

good luck! what size pulleys you run on your vacuum pump? i have the same pump and think i'd like the v-belt deal.

I think the crank is a 2.5, and what ever the pump is...std deal. I have a lerger pulley for the crank, but this 15 yr old 3 vane still pulls like a champ.................. Laughing

thanks,i'm tryen to find somewhere to mount this sob and the "radius"pulley on it means a f**ken $$ belt.i dont have one for the crank yet so it's a good time to swap it to v-belt.

well i got some tire issues to work out just like I figured, car still 3030#'s w driver, despite the 60" issues I managed a 8.77 @ 155.77, gear too short the last pass was turning 7600 in the lights.

corrected altitude was 3400', I get the 60' deal worked out it'll run a .40 in the 1/8th pretty easy, maybe more with M5 and a highspeed...........


and Nick, it never made 1000hp, my heap will be as fast as yours with no power adders........... Wink cheers


best part is I didnt bend any body panels or front valances............... Laughing

congrats on the numbers Jon ....... someone had just brought up that you would be slower then me , and i actually gave you props saying you should be faster with an n/a engine rather then my nos deal ....sorry i thought you said it was going to do 1000 ....... my bad

9.0's, at 147, and that was a mineshaft air day, I'll get the gears moved around and get after the 1/8th mile program now. Hell the first pass it blew off so bad they had smoke rollin off of um lol.

Nice!! The Power/Speed Calc puts that at about 860hp.

It will be cool to follow along and see how much it picks up with no traction issues and correct gears!!

No bent valances is a good thing!! lol!

It sounds like you've got some power there. My handy dandy Pitside chart says that a 8.75 car like yours, has the following incrementals;
60' = 1.22
330' = 3.56
660' = 5.53
1/4 = 8.75 @ 156.0 mph

So, if your 60' was a good bit slower than the 1.22, then you've got a lot to gain. Very Happy
