Well back in the day, when I was going to college, I had a Model A Ford also. (Now then don't go saying I'm as old as your great grandfather Travis, or I'll have to spank your azz! ). Anyway on the cold winter mornings that old 6 volt battery was a very weak player, so I'd have to hand crank it. If it was bitter cold, I had to remove a spark plug and spray ether down in the hole, put the plug back in, and it would start right up. I always had a can of ether with me! Plus, I never broke my thumb when it kicked back

Yep, parking it at the top of the hill worked also. And also, that's when I learned the ratio of reverse gear was lower than the ratio of first gear

He didn't do any pulls yet? I want to see what the #'s are on that there "DD" engine. It should be called "PP" because of the heads, now I n the other hand have a "DD" engine Or "CC" engine.
