Re: 563" P(DD)51 build underway **GOT SOME NUMBERS**
Yes the #4 and #8 loops are for tire clearance when turning, I'm bout halfway done with the other side, may need to order one more J as I'm eatin up the bends fast lol.
The front wheels I put on last winter, between then and the lightweight nuts, Hoosier front runners (lightest by size over all the other brands) the front wheel and tire assy you can pick up with one finger lol.
After the car is somewhat sorted I'm gonna save some cash to get a set of the lighter wheels for the rear, ceramic bearings, roller pinion support etc.
I can tell you this, pushing my brother's 81 takes a lot more effort despite it being a good 250#'s lighter than the 69. A fast car aint all about the hp.............

i am guessing you were going for a cretain tube length?
were did you buy the header flanges?
how did you bend the port shape on the tubeing to fit the flange?
i put in some numbers in the wallas calculator to get my tubeing length and diameter.15-3/4 primary x 2-5/16 pipe dia with a 4" collector the primary seems short?

Re: 563" P(DD)51 build underway **GOT SOME NUMBERS**
Way short! Better check those numbers again or re-enter your data. For your heads I'd like to see a 30-32" primary length and either a 2.125" or a 2.250" diameter.

it wont win a car show, but it will get it down the track................
gotta plumb the brake line and make a heat shield for the batt cables on the ps, then put it on.
then just poke the tranny back in, finish welding the bars and paint them, small bit of wiring, few knick knacks under the hood..........then just wait for spring...............which you would think was today.......77 degrees, and should be warmer tomorrow..then a big winter storm coming tuesday............I love oklahoma...........
I may fire up the smallblock tomorrow and get a small alky fix.............

I'm firing up the small block tomorrow, gonna make a start up and rev video for a friend in Taylor. Nothing I can do on it now, just wait for the next high school nationals.

5", more room than I had when the collectors with turnouts were under the car, and not as far back. No more jacking up the trailer tongue and gouging the floor when I load and unload.
