Everything went good except the starter, the bell/fw configuration takes an old style starter, but my kickout is not big enough on the pan. He will get with GRP staters Monday and get something that will work, prolly run it in one day next week and then pull it next saturday.

No water leaks......so far so good..........

He wanted to run it first with the 2 1/8" dyno headers he had and I told him to put those little motherf-ckers away


He also made the comment it was gonna be loud, his smaller dia collector deal has a muffler set up on the outside of the dyno cell, he had to install some bigger outlets in the wall for the exhaust to go out for this deal and it just dumps open out back under the porch..............plus my old combo was loud as hell, you could always tell when i made a pass even if you didnt see it as its louder than anything else, well except blower cars lol.

So yes he is correct, and I still don't think he understands the potential this thing has............

flow meters, gotta have for the inlet to the barrel valve and one for the return.............

He had one delivered that was a stick shift deal, same problem, in fact it was the same as mine.

stick and auto are not the same.........sounds like they sent the wrong deal.

I haven't a clue about dynos, or if its just a mounting issue your having... but for what its worth I went through this with a truck awhile ago...they mounted the same, but thats about it... shattered the bendix gear and galled up the flywheel teeth...it was a stick, and they kept wanting to giving me auto starters because the manual "option" was not in their computer...I said some bad things, and went to a store that offered the manual "option"...I went to rockauto.com just now and they do not offer an option either.

Was a chain store so who knows, we know what we need so we'll take it up there and sort it out.

Thanks for the numbers Lem, I'll get my parts guy to round me one up just in case Gerald has no luck. The man stater they sent by their numbers was right but it looked just like my auto unit.

you could use the motor off the jr dragster as a helper like they did back in the day on the old diesels

Why's that? You running a really high compression with big exhaust ports? Man, I know a guy who has a 15:1 compression BBF and its loud as heck! My poor motor will be lucky to get 9:1 @!!#@$@@ @#%$@ @%@ %@ %@ @# @#%@#%@#% #%$@ #% @# @#%@%@#!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This reminded me of my great grandfather. Always told me he learned to drive on a Model A. Said he cranked so long on it trying to get it to start that all the water boiled out of it .......... He was a jokester
