reading plugs at idle ? can it be done.
hey guys i always hear about reading your plugs after a wide open pass or a 2nd gear pull, well what about at idle, i have installed a wide band gauge and have got my idle afr to about 13.4:1 but has had it as lean as 14.1:1 and i am still getting my plugs sooty on the porcelain !

What carb? What application? What fuel? How are you tuning it? What timing? What ignition? What plugs? What compression? What heads? Etc???

holley 750 3310 6.5 power valve in front block 72 jets fronts 84 jets rear i have about 9 inches of manifold vacuum

tuning via wideband idle air screws and holley jet kit
34 total locked
msd ingition with stock replacement tfi coil
autolights 124's
10.5:1 compression
c8ve heads ported stock valves
