I could not agree more. The C-4 does have its place and this is probably one of them. But since you got the powerglide and you would have to put money out there to convert back to the C-4 , put it into the engine program. One thing for sure you can put some power in front of that glide. The C-4 is going to get to a point (with more power) that its going to tear the faces off the clutches, or become so violent on the leave that your gonna have a fight on your hands. JMO.

I am a steel rod guy myself. Olivers all the way. The 598 that we bought off of Phillip was a aluminum rod deal, but it was a aluminum block also. We bought it that way. Hind sight I would have prefered a iron block steel rod combo. #1 you could not keep the heads sealed to the block, #2 you burned a lot of fuel with 2 carbs getting heat in the engine for the block and rods. JMO.

yep the only reason i wanna run aluminum rods and have shaft rockers is to feel special.
