Just asking: Do you have an ignition with a built-in start retard? Or do you have a start retard? The reason I'm asking is I have the Digital6 Plus with the built-in retard, and I've been running a stock starter for 3 years without issue on my 14:1 motor. And it was 2 years old when I put it on my 521. No need to run one if you don't "have" to I figure.

Ebay - DB Electric - $50 plus shipping or just do Google for DB electric - they handle the load - made in China but work great
