It was Dave's fly wheel and we did bolt a weight to it , but I don't know if it was the boss flywheel or not.
We drilled two mounting holes in it to mount the 28 oz inch weight, then rebalanced it back to zero with the two holes in it. Then we bolted on the weight and balanced it again.
Blake ... 28.2 in/oz is the necessary counter weight for most small blocks and 410/428 FE's.
A big block 385 uses 24.2 in/oz of counterweight; (if it's the original weight off the 460 flexplate, it will probably be right).

Re: DYNO PARTY!!!!!!!!!
Update :
We got the engine on the dyno last night, Made a short pull with the last jetting change from the last time. It made 708 @ 6000 rpm. These numbers may be off a number or two, Mike has the dyno sheets and will post them later.
I'm posting from memory.
After the tuning was all said and done we saw 751 Hp @ 6400 rpm and 681 Ft Lb. Torque @ 4900.
It had over 650 ft lb torque from 4500 through 5500 rpm and still held 616 at the Hp peak 6400.
In a world of high compression, max ported, big inch, solid roller camed engines, I was happy with the out come of this flat top , flat tappet, bowl blended, 528.
Good hp per dollar combo. The SCJ flat tappet heads that Lem sales and a good inexpensive flat tappet cam , cast crank, H beam rods, forged pistons. Killer bracket deal.
You don't have to turn it over the moon to make decent power.
I want to thank Mike for waiting on this engine. When he called me to do this deal, I told him I was way behind and would be a good while before I could get to it, then to add to it we had the problem on the dyno that set us back again. He never complained once and was very understanding through the whole deal.
I'm glad it all worked out well for him.

Man.........what an expierience
As cool 40 said "I love it when a plan comes through".
I'm just getting around now and thought I would log on ang get caught up.
My nephew Joe road along with me this time and we had a great trip, seen some awesome country and met some more forum members. On our trip back we went a different way. We headed to Nashville and went back that way. When we got to Bowling Green we stopped for fuel and food and got wheeled by the Po Po. I was on this access road just off one of the main drags there. The traffic was heavy and congested bad, very confusing and we stopped at this stop sign, seen the cops sitting right there at a business, we took off next thing I knew he was behind me with the lights on....WTF He told me I wasn't supposed to go straight through the intersection that it was a right turn only. Oh well, he was cool about it and let me off and then we discussed what my cargo was. When we got back on the road we went for about 3 miles and came to a halt on the inter-state (construction ) and got held up there for a good half hour. Between the cops and the constuction zone we lost a good hour. Got back in the wee hours of the morning ....other then that it was a great time!
The engine made some awesome numbers sounds bad ass
I want to thank Blake for a "SUPERB JOB". He's the best in my book I have no quams, bitches or complaints. He's my HeRo.
If any of you guys out there need some technical advice, an engine built or whatever I highly recommend him. If you don't understand something he WILL explain it and he makes sure you understand. Believe me, I asked him a million questions and no doubt repeated half of them to him
And I also want to Thank Lem Evans at BF Evans Ford. My engine would not be able to make these numbers without some of his go fast parts. This guy is a cool dude too and will also explain things and make sure you understand also. So guys don't hesitate to deal with him.
Alright.... I've rambled on long enough. I've got a 528 to unload and lots of work to do this winter.....but its fun

Mike is your car tubbed out? Are you going to put some bigger tires on your car or are going to learn how to pedal it and challenge Bruno for the 10.5 title at the Bash next year?
