Re: What,,,,? No wheelie bars
I don't usually need the bars but I like to have them hanging there for safety reasons. We make enough horsepower that wheelies at any point in time on the track is possible. We have noticed on pics and some vids that we have crossed the stripe a few times on the rears only.

Re: What,,,,? No wheelie bars
We should probably keep the sexual innuendo out of here, I'm guilty of starting this party too. Maybe we should go to the b&g if anything else must be said. As for the cars, I had no clue that they still had all that stuff in the car. So they basically have a full interior? I'm at school on the prowl right now...

they say that wheelie bars are NOT safety devices. I guess when your car flips down track the -15 fire suit will keep you from burning up.
we only run a -5 suit but wear the nomex underwear(which puts our suit up to a TPP value of 34) which is almost a -10 spec) and now have upgraded to the better gloves, shoes, head sock, and a Safety Solutions Hybrid neck restraint along with our 10lb fire system.
If the classes are not going to let us run wheelie bars then we are going to prepare ourselves. We also would like to run Lexan in the side windows at least for safety reasons but that was laughed at too.

I don't really see why they frown on the Bars as a rule. Wheelie bars are allowed on the street around here. If nothing else, ley them run them and have a set heighth that they have too be set.

I tend to agree with the height rule. I will say that if the front goes sky high with high wheelie bars that the run is aborted anyways because it will blow the tires everytime.
