One guy posted a comment "Ford fiberglass body, big block blown chevy into a GM powerglide....built Ford Tough using GM parts "
I hate chevy guys. When they do this crap it just makes me wonder what goes through their head during the build.

If I hadn't got my ranger I had found a 01 S10 stepside I was going to get to piss the chevy guys off when they seen the bbf in it.

Re: What kind of engine is in this ?
I remember "northwestoutlaw" was going to put a BBF in a Luv. Although it would be so priceless for the chevy guys to root me on and go "eat it Ford, that's chevy power!" then check it out and see its a BBF, I would only do it if I actually liked the body style a lot. If I built something "non-Ford" it would be a Grand National...with a Ford powerplant69F100 wrote:bb429power wrote:One guy posted a comment "Ford fiberglass body, big block blown chevy into a GM powerglide....built Ford Tough using GM parts "

Oh, it adds up QUICK. The $$$ spent on parts that is... I added up some money that I had spent a couple minutes ago and got at least 1200 and I'm not done and I'm building a STREET engine. Plus, that doesn't include pistons, head parts, machining. Adds up quick, you know that just as much as anyone else on here does.bb429power wrote:Nah Imma use a cruise o matic fo mah hah powah motah, thats thah good stuff. Re: What kind of engine is in this ?
Its funny, the guys at work ask me what I spent on this or that............they about hit the floor lol.
But then the one guy goes and spends a grand on some cowboy boots and a rope........the other prolly spens all his check on beer and liquor..........he even said last weekend he had some 1 oz shot that was a 100 bucks.............asked him how it was.....he said he had 2..............
Wife puts all her spare cash in a retirement fund.................gives me a hard time for not having one.....I just tell her I do and its a lot more fun than hers is.............. in 20 years it will be the other way around................

Re: What kind of engine is in this ?
100% my money for that, and I'm proud to say I bought it with my own money. I am not from a wealthy family by any means either, that is added up over a year or two. My money, no job but I don't blow my money on stupid crap like every kid my age does. I invest it in my truck because I know it will be put to good use and enjoyed for the rest of my life when it is finally done.56Tbird wrote:Did you spend it or did your pappy spend it????? But I have done some work at my machinists shop, and very soon I am rebuilding a customers engine for him that came 2nd in its road racing class. I plan on paying my dad back for everything that he has paid for, its my build and he shouldn't be spending his own money on it. Yes he's my dad and helping but I'd rather him keep it for himself.
