700 cubic inch

what heads would be the best option? 2carbs with a 500 shot to start.. hemi or thors or the new idt?. like to see around 1400-1450 on motor. is this even possible.thanks

IIRC there were a couple of truck pull guys that hit numbers in that neighborhood with the B441 Hemi heads on 630" engines, so yes that is possible. I don't know if the Thors are capable of that or not, but the large CI would sure make it easier.

I doubt that the cost would be all that different, so if you want the hemi's I'd do it.

The Hemi stuff definetly has the "Bling Thing" going for it....... give Carrol Carter or Jon Kaase a ring and talk with them.

Talk with Charlie about the Thors too, he's done a few sets of them, but I'm not sure how good the avalibility of them is.

i'm going to wait to make some calls i hate to bother c,evans or carol carter and my motor not sell for awhile.. i've had a bunch of calls just no bite's...thanks guys eric

You aren't bothering anyone Eric. We all love to build this stuff on the net. It'll come around and you'll get it done. There isn't a single one of us that wouldn't love to build a Thor or Hemi engine.

thanks schmitty i just hate to bother people unless i have cash to spend. i agree it's alot of fun to talk about a build on line and get all the input u can get good or bad. these ford forums are just jam packed with r-n-d and everyone on here is 2nd to none if i do get lucky enough to build a 700'' hemi i want it to be the most radical set up i can get i don't care if it's very very high mant. eric

How about 1.200" and still working...just get used to checking and changing valve springs...don't ask me how I know

why stop at 700"....go BIG or go home! 815" Hemi

just wonderin if it will still make power or fall off i don't mind checkin springs can i ask what engine u have? i'd like to have a 815 but that will never happen if i can swing the 700'' i'll be very happy thanks eric
