Rod bolt and cam bolt torque?
What should the rob bolts be torqued to on a 6.8 Eagle? It's not the L19 or 2000 bolts. I think they are stamped 7840?
Also what about a 9/16 fine thread cam bolt?

The cam bolt is a 7/16 fine thread, red loctite, 65ish ftlbs. Be sure to use a grade 8 bolt with plenty of thread.

Rod bolts should be 64ish with moly.

I've got a full thread bolt and thick washer.
Any rod torque value for 30 wt? Or is this where you would only use moly?

John, do yourself a favor and use ARP lube. It will help with your accuracy of pulling torque.

Re: Rod bolt and cam bolt torque?
Should I completely clean the 30 wt off with brake cleaner? I've already assembled the shortblock. Just have the rods hand tight because I didn't have the torque values.

For kicks and giggle just make sure your cam bolt isn't bottoming out. Especially if your not using the essentric.

I don't care for the moly stuff on head or main bolts/studs but like has been said use the stuff the mfr. recommends on rod bolts.
