I think I am gonna relocate....

Thinking of relocating in the next 3-6 monthes. Looking for some pros and cons of different area. So whatcha got for me?

Well the houses are cheap in mi at the moment. you probably wouldn't want to move here but I'll come up with a list for you anyway.

I'd look for a job first.........

Lots of cool places to live, I've been to a number of place myself.....

The next time I move,it will be to a warmer climate. I hate this weather more the older I get.

Next move I make will probably be in the ground......I'd like to move to a warmer climate too...BUT ,I ain't got the moolah!!

I'm looking to go farther South myself. Grand Caymon comes to mind.

Been there, it's nice until the hurricanes show up. We had 4 motor scooter in a line at the only stop light on the island. Schmitty treed them all and kicked butt in the 120' street drag.

I'm ready to move. I just took a look at my extended forecast and there calling for snow the next 4 days!

Frank it warm down here most of the time the track stays open all year long we only have about 2 1/2 months of cold might snow every 10 to 15 years here.We have 3 track that are less than a hour away.

About the same here in western NC as well. Job market has been tough lately but it's getting better. Lot of tech jobs coming up. We have a good many yankees already around here now 8 or 10 dragstrips within a 2 hr ride.

Speaking of the snow and cold i just read a crazy story on AOL in the news section.A guy in Wisconsin goes out for his paper and mail from the day before at 5:30 in the morning.Gets the mail out of the box paper wasn't there yet has the mail blow out of his hands.He then falls down and can't get up Snow Plow goes by and buries him with snow.A neighbor lady is looking through her binoculars and think she sees the snow moving and a arm and hand.They go and check it out and the guy is buried with almost 30 inches of snow they all thought he was dead.They took him to the hospital and released him later that afternoon.I think they found him at 9:00 or 9:30 in the morning he was there since 5:30 am talk about lucky to be alive.

That is a funny story Mark. I guess funny for me and probably not for that guy. Bama is alright but do they have jobs there? I have to agree that I would find a job then move there. Ms. is also cheap, plenty of deer if you like hunting, pretty laid back etc. But unless you work in the oilfield or logging there isn't much there for jobs either. Now you could always go to somewhere like Houston where there is 7 million people because there is bound to be some work there and cost of living is cheap there as well.

We have a nice quite town Alot of nice and affordable housing good weather for most part 3 drag strip in a 100 mile circle work is slow but there are jobs depending on what you do.

I'm actually thinking about retiring a few years early and moving south. I can get as much retirement now as I can if I wait until i'm 62 because of the amount of yrs. service,I just can't draw my SSI. I have a class A CDL so, i'm sure I could pu a part time truck driving job too keep from being bored and help pay my health ins.
