Demon carbs is closed down
I know there won't be much love for this post but it is still sad to see a large automotive related company go down.
From Barry Grant
As of today, February 18, 2011 we are ceasing operations at our Dahlonega location and all subsidiary locations. Working with all of you has been the experience of a lifetime. I will value your support as friends, customers, vendors, and media contacts forever. The economic situation has put the company in the position of not being able to find working capital needed to continue operations and get a chapter 11 reorganization plan through the court. In addition to this, is that all of our equipment has been breaking down causing production delays and further hurting cash flow. Reluctantly now we must convert to chapter 7 liquidation after 26 years of business. The financial collapse has closed, or has caused severe restructuring of many companies in our industry. Many individuals have lost everything. We have even lost our home. This is the most humbling experience of my life, and I have no future plans at this point. Thank You for Your Many Years of Support.

Car is at the chassis mans getting 25.5ed, 35 splines, rear race brakes, motorplates and engine placed, new PG with 180 strait cuts, chute. Hoping for 5.70's to 80's on motor, then comes the spray!

easy, they make a decent product. The people who say they dont are just pissed it comes from overseas. the product they deliver to the usa is fine. they say they stole the head design from someone here, but they clearly didnt. the design is different. if the chinese wanted to make an exact copy of the p51 or scj, they would be EXACT copies.
they also dont gouge people on pricing. they offer a decent discount to racers without a 10 page sponsorship submission, and if there is a problem will gladly have it fixed for you
procomp IS an American company with product made overseas. And you cant argue that.
You know its the same arguement when people say Honda makes their cars here in America with American workers, that it doesnt count. Either way you cant win.
I bet my pc water pump last as long as most peoples csi or miezere pumps for a 1/8 of the cost.
I buy american when i can afford it, and others when i cant justify a 300 percent makrup

So can you say without a doubt, nothing on your car is made overseas?
Re: Demon carbs is closed down
Not much of it...............and its not the "overseas" part that concerns me as all the parts have been machined and inspected by trusted American individuals including myself.
I don't buy parts that I don't trust their quality, nor do i buy parts from companies that have pricks for owners...............

X2 You sure nailed it Jon, I'd rather throw in a few bucks more else where than deal with pricks for sure.
