I know Bobby Small ran a 4.98 year before last, cause I was in the other lane, and I got the yellow time slip.

Re: 2011 BBF Bash Quickest Door Car
Wow, sounds like a lot of 4 second stuff will be there! The Mustang that is coming with me will go 4.80's without the spray and it has a fogger on it if wants to turn the valve on. Really neat car, it actually belonged to Brad Waddle - the owner of Innovators West. It has a Lenco in it so all you stick shift guys can get a fix watching it.

That's ok Bobby and Derek are good people and that's what its all about aggravating each other
I have always had good luck getting down the windy track whether it was on the bash race or just a typical race night there
I will be going for a 1.04 60 ' record (naturally aspirated) that's all I am saying other than there is an individual on here that offered me a big c-headed engine to run at the bash he can identify himself if he wants . I would love to see what a big c headed engine could do on one of my "liquid torque" tune ups .

Well, the phone call I got today was about a set of headers for that big C-headed engine. Supposed to be on the dyno here the week before the Bash. Hmmmmmmm.
As an sidenote, those big C-460 headed engines seem to make tremendous amounts of torque and power.

2011 BBF Quickest Door Car
Hey Randy I never once thought that I was calling you or anyone else "out". just trying to state where we are right now working to do some things to maybe pick the Black Widow up a little, I still dream of our first sub 5.00 second run, we are working to cross that boundry now and I think that we will do that. I think that the track will hold a 4.70 or 4.80 pass or maybe even quicker and I would love to be the one to make it happen but right now 5.01 is all she has done.

I would love to see that thing in person for sure. One bad ride, and anything but slow.

I did not take it that way Bobby. If I talk smack its all in fun. I like to go fast because that is the fun part, I am not worried about out running any certain individual . I have more pride in my car with its consistency and work more toward that than anything I do in racing. I am a hardcore bracket racer and I am there to cut a double 0 light and run within a few thousandths every pass and that is what I strive for no matter if its a 4.89 or a 5.50 et.
I do have opinions on how fast a car runs etc and I like fast door cars even if they are not mine . I do think you and Derek have a very fast car for what you guys are running and you should be very proud of the accomplishments as far as et yall have made because it is very impressive.

Re: 2011 BBF Bash Quickest Door Car
I'm with KY on this...any doorcar that goes below mid 5's is fast! When they get to the low 5's and into the 4's they are extremely fast. They're really fun to watch. My car doesn't feel that fast to me anymore at 5.50..except when it gets crossed up and on the wall..Then ,it's way too fast. Dragsters don't do much for me until they get around that 4.50 mark ,then they start getting interesting too. We are all going crazy fast these days. I remember back in the 80's ,I thought if I could just run 6.99 in the 1/8 one time that it would be like a dream. Now 6.30's in my Mustang feels like a sunday drive. That's just nuts!!I just hope we have a good turn out this year! Spread the word to all your Ford friends, let's get this party going..oops I mean Race!!

No white mustangs. The Indy mustang is grey gelcoat right now and probably won't be finished in time.
You might know the other one, it's blue

I know a guy with a set of C head headers for a chassis car, never been on a set of heads, built by the Fab Shop.......he just needs a shipping address!

for the life of me I cant figure out who the hell is around these parts with a car like that Mike crap???
Re: 2011 BBF Bash Quickest Door Car
such a lot of work left to do to my car not sure if it will make it this year. I may have to suck it up and go specatate. BUT if we do finish it, it will be so new, who knows if we have the chassis sorted out?
I will bring it if it is running though. Even if it is in primer, lol I cant call anyone out it's bad karma with it not done yet.
I have no idea what kind of times it will run but Mid to low 4's would be about the norm. Looks like its going to be a really competitive group for the title!
BTW Charlie I am from south of the mason dixon line, just dont live there!
